Dementia Workshops
Students devise and run activities for care home residents to stimulate brain activity and memory recall, including clay modelling, giant games and learning to use chopsticks.
Aims
To help those suffering from dementia slow down the illness and to offer support for those people through conversation and activities.
Resources
Staff and pupil time, use of school resources in running the activities.
Impact
The impact of this project is assessed by the students and staff (both those from MCS and those from the care homes) at the end of each year.

MCS pupils aged between 16 and 17 are involved with this project
