Community Outreach Partnership with Longmead House Nursing Home

Girls from Woldingham School's sixth form, aged between 16 and 18 years of age, regularly visit Longmead House Nursing Home to socialise and play games with the residents of the home.

Aims

A partnership has been built between the school and the nursing home which benefits both the residents and the students.

Background

The partnership was established through the school's Chaplain in 2014.

Impact

The regular visits provide social interaction between the students and the elderly residents, and demonstrates to the girls the importance of supporting and getting to know others in their local community.
