Cathedral Spires
This programme is due for relaunch in 2022 / 23 following COVID / lockdown
A cultural enrichment project exploring the history, architecture, archives and fabric of Canterbury Cathedral.
Aims
Spires students - To increase familiarity and confidence with and around the cathedral.
King's School students - To develop leadership and communication skills.
Background
Established Sept 2016
Resources
Overseen and delivered by a member of King's school teaching staff with input from the Cathedral education and archives team.
Impact
Each cohort has the opportunity to act as a guide around the cathedral for their parent/carer therefore demonstrating what they have learnt.
Pupil Involvement
36 year 7 Spires students each year and up to 9 King's School pupils.
Frequency
Once a week every term.
