Calthorpe Residents Society

This independent, voluntary group was founded over 40 years ago to represent the residents of the prestigious, historic and leafy Calthorpe Estate, Edgbaston by :

  • Monitoring planning and supporting sympathetic development, so that the Estate remains a beautiful and desirable area in which to live and work.
  • Strengthening communication and fostering friendliness between groups and individuals
  • Campaigning on issues of local concern

Edgbaston High school provides the facilites for meetings free of charge.

Impact

Edgbaston High School provides a base for regular meetings for the community to discuss important and contemporary issues. An example is MP Preet Gill is giving a talk at EHS on Thursday 4th October 2018 hosted by the Calthorpe Residents Society.

Pupil Involvement

Pupils from the local area who may be from state schools are invited to attend relevant meetings/talks, for example the Preet Gill MP talk.
