Bessemer Grange students take part in swimming lessons provided by Alleyn's School

Year 3 students of Bessemer Grange Primary School were invited to Alleyn's for two weeks of swimming lessons. The classes aimed to increase pupils' swimming ability by providing professional swimming tuition for over 90 students.

Resources

Alleyn's donated it's swimming pool facilities to Bessemer Grange Primary School in order for 90 children to benefit from one hour swimming lessons each day over a two week period.

The students were split into groups of ten which enabled each child to be assessed individually on their ability.

Alleyn's donated all equipment and staff time to the School who benefited from over 30 hours of lesson time.

In a letter to the Headmaster, Community Governor of Bessemer Grange Tricia Rusling expressed her thanks;

"The improvements were very visable when I returned at the end of the second week. I was so impressed with all the teachers and the life guard involved and the confidence given to every level of ability"
